Heather Gies is an editor and journalist whose reporting on human rights, politics, the environment, and other issues has appeared in Al Jazeera, The Guardian, The Intercept, In These Times, National Geographic, and other outlets. She is currently managing editor of the NACLA Report on the Americas, a quarterly print magazine of reporting and analysis on Latin America and the Caribbean published by the North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA) since 1967.
